In late 2017 and early 2018, the ANU Postgraduate and Research Students’ Association (PARSA) conducted a survey of its 11,000 members to investigate their experiences in attempting to secure accommodation in Canberra. In total there were 733 respondents.

What we found is that students are struggling to find safe and secure accommodation, and despite presenting these findings to the university executive in February, there has been no action to put in place real solutions to ensure that postgraduate students are able to make Canberra their home away from home.
